Theresa gives us the low down on the types of gear she needed to use for the Marsupial Traverse and Mountain Shop provides some specific product recs to help you get prepared for this climb!

HARNESS: Edelrid Jayne

HELMET: Black Diamond Vector

ROCK SHOES: La Sportiva TC Pro
I suggest something that you would be comfortable standing/moving in for at least a couple of hours--i.e. something suitable for easy/moderate alpine rock climbing since much of the route is more scrambling then aggressive, technical climbing)

ROPE: Edelrid Hummingbird, 60M

BACKPACK: Salomon Advanced Skin 12 (fast and light option)
I used my 35 liter Ultimate Direction Fastpack for this climb because I like the snug, running vest fit and the front pockets on the UD Fastpack held my phone, snacks, and radio really well, and could have fit a collapsible water bottle had I used one. 35 liters for the capacity was not necessary and a smaller running vest or backpack would have been totally fine

BACKPACK: Osprey Mutant 22 (climbing focused option)

RADIOS: BCA Link Two Way 2.0 (Theresa used the Rocky Talkies brand radios, which also work well!)

CAMS: Black Diamond Camalot C4
Single set of cams (#0.3 - #3) and nuts
I ultimately didn't place a #3 and didn't feel like it was necessary to have; most placements were marginal at best and were primarily to help with rope drag

DRAWS: Black Diamond
Don't skimp on alpine draws. Double length sling extensions were needed in a few spots
12 Draws Total (number of total draws depends on which route you start on to gain the top of the Mudpile)
     +6 sport draws
+4 alpine draws (single length slings)
+2 alpine draws (double length slings)

6 SPORT DRAWS: Black Diamond Hotforge Hybrid Quickpack

4 ALPINE DRAWS (Single Length Slings, 120cm) // 2 ALPINE DRAWS (Double Length Slings): Camp Alpine Extress Dyneema 60cm (4 pack)

BELAY DEVICE: Petzl Gri Gri

RAPPELLING DEVICE: Black Diamond ATC
Personal preference to have both Grigri and ATC
