Jono Lewis

Jono Lewis
Jono grew up on the coast of New Zealand playing soccer and competing in triathlons. An accident in his teenage years resulted in the loss of his left leg. Since moving to the US a few years back, Jono has dived deep into all things climbing. Find him plugging gear at Ozone, clipping bolts at Smith, swinging tools in Hyalite Canyon, or helping develop climbing-specific prosthetic feet. Jono founded and runs PDX Adaptive Climbing, and works closely with one of our favorite non-profits, Oregon Adaptive Sports, to introduce adaptive athletes to the vertical world.

Jono states his favorite season as “winter conditions” and has his sights set on 2021 alpine-ice objectives, including a summit of Tahoma/Mt Rainier via the Kautz Glacier. He also wants to learn to ski, and backpack the Timberline Trail.
