Ben McKinley- In pursuit of the pain and pleasure of the outdoors.
I was fortunate to be introduced to the mountains at a young age by my parents. I grew up ski racing and freeriding at Mt. Ashland, OR. My heroes included Pirmin Zubriggen and Scott Schmidt. I've coached freeride and ski racing the last 22 yrs. I enjoy an extended season climbing and skiing volcanos deep into the summer months. I'm also an aspiring trail runner, mountain biker and infrequent backpacker.
Fun Fact- My office is a 1950's railcar down by the river.
Athletes I admire- Killian Jornet, Eric Hjorleifson, Angel Collinson, and Candide Thovex
Goals- Ski Mt Jefferson and Mt. Rainier. Circumnavigate Mt. Adams on skis and trail. Take my daughters backpacking at least once a summer (soccer is taking its toll on our summer calendar!). Traverse the Wallowa Range on foot and skis.
